Housing: One of the largest challenges facing the women and children in our program is the inability to secure housing in today's rental market. Thanks to the generosity of community donors, we have supported women and children in creating a future of safety and security by offering short-term rental subsidies, damage deposits, and or covering moving expenses. In order to continue to provide this level of support, we look to our community for help.

Mental wellness: As women flee violence, they encounter multiple socioeconomic barriers, inequalities, and trauma. Our program aims to improve mental health through growing self-empowerment and resilience with 1:1 counseling sessions using a holistic and culturally based approach. With your donation we can provide 1:1 counselling sessions to the women in our program, helping them reclaim their innate strength, and building a future free of violence.

Clothing

Thank you for your interest in supplying our program with clothing donations. We are no longer accepting donations and instead source clothing from Big Brother and Big Sisters Central Vancouver Island for clients in need. We would recommend reaching out to them should you have any gently used clothing you would like to donate.

Furniture

For those looking to donate gently used furnishings please contact Nanaimo Women Helping Women, a non-profit created to support those in need. We are grateful to have partnered with Nanaimo Women Helping Women, who has provided a multitude of supports to our clients.
